If you would read my previous post, I'm raving about how I love google's simple layout as compared to Yahoo and MSN. But did you know that main reason why Google's homepage is so bare is because it's original founders just wanted a very quick interface and know nothing about Html in the first place?

Yeah, I do suppose everyone knows this, but I'll still add it: google was originally a university project done by two guys from Stanford.

Yeah, I like Google's approach to their site design. I think that simple is better, rather than cluttered with ads like Yahoo and MSN are.

it maybe plain, but the results are one of the best, and at least they are trying to get better, they change the logo for different occasions, and as a search engine its doing its job pretty well.

That's the point of google. that is why people use this service because when you first see it, what do you think? SEARCH! what others dont realize that after the search is awaiting the advertisement, blogs, music, games, etc. Its like google little cloak program.

Google's simplicity is the best; people do not really like disorganized sites at all, and this is most likely a major factor in Google's success.
