While people don't usually talk about Dmoz, except to get higher PR, I still consider it a good way to get quality results when looking for something in particular. But still, since it's a directory, maybe it's not considered as a search engine.

I would say you will get 90% accurate results because they sort out all the sites and put it in the correct categories

But what if you change your site title or description? would they automatically change that in there or you have to resubmit?

I never made a change to a site already submitted, but I guess that wouldn't take as long as a submission since the site must have been already tested for quality content and stuff.

I wonder if people actually use DMOZ to search, rather than just use it to submit their site to since it has a high page rank.

it's only used by webmasters to submit their site! Why would anyone browse dmoz, if they can use their trusted google aswell?

Well a lot of the time smaller sites with specific information aren't found in DMOZ, but for big projects it is good.
