I came across one of the other forums which said google does not update pagerank anymore? Is this true?

They are still updating page rank, but it seems they are going for slower update frequencies recently.

Thing is, google has already updated it, but just not toolbars! It is taking extremely long this time though, indeed! Did not expect this!

Google is automatically Updated.
It is still updating at all the datacentres and may be the final results come in this week

maybe next week! it's taking so long that no one knows when it will come, but I did see a bit of changes in the datacentres though!

No one can guess when PR is updated, anyone who tells you is lying. The last time was December 26th-ish, so it shouldn't be too far off now!

They still do use pagerank.

Dec -26th was a Backlink update.
1st know the difference between backlink update and a PR update then try to give out a false announcement.

Sorry, I got this from a source that said it was a PR update. I know the difference perfectly well myself!

Google has been active lately in buying alot of companies and trying to update themselves to make themselver more marketable than Yahoo. They are trying to bring out GBuy which is similiar to Paypal. They brought out Google earth which is awesome by the way. They are buying into media outlets like radio stations. I think they are more into advertising than a complete search engine though. They are trying to take first. Because Time Warner is selling off parts of their company including AOL. So someone has to compete against Yahoo.

Also rumours are there about software and OS services.
