Does anyone have any experience with link builders?

I have seen a ton of services over at DP that offer link building at a few bucks per link. Rather than trying them all, has anyone found a decent one?

Thanks

I'd suggest investing in hiring a couple of quality copywriters on your topic. This will get you traffic and natural links (if the articles are great, that is).

Each link is different, you know. A link from a free directory is worth what you have given for it. While a link from a relevant site from the context is worth more than many can suspect it does.

Of course. I never said that I don't believe in the importance of relevant links.

I would only hire someone who would 'build' relevant links.

I've used LinkStrategy.com , which is now - DomainDrivers.com . Good guys. They've been doing it for a while now.

I've also used - harvestSEO.com , which caters to SEOs who want to outsource parts of their SEO service. Not too cheap, but they know what they're doing.

Compelling content - and promotion to the right outlets -- earns links. It's the easiest and purest way to do it.

"quality content" has become such a bastard buzzword on SEO/SEM forums. Not all sites are content-driven. Link building for sites that are not content-driven is far more difficult IMHO, and makes link buying a viable alternative to other miracle fixes like "link bait" (which, before the advent of weekly seo buzzwords, was known as PR).

Maybe "quality content" has become the be-all-end-all, but why shouldn't it be? It is what drives visitors to sites.

Show me a site with no content that has any value to a Web surfer.

Depends how you define "content". My issue with the buzzword is that most people who are abusing it are referring to writing articles or linkbaiting with lists of the top 10 ways to tie your shoe.

Can't post links yet, but Michael Gray recently made the point that the key for rankings (on Google) isn't simply getting links in volume, or even getting out of the sandbox - it's simply about getting links to get in the "trustbox".

I personally wouldn't touch a cheap link building service simply because it was cheap - not for a site I wanted to invest in for the mid-long term. You want to try and get quality links where possible, and avoid FFA sites. Waste of time.

SEO used to be about thinking out of the box, but too many people think SEO is simply about buying in volume. Maybe it is for some key markets, but for the ordinary SME in general business verticals, the original principle still applies, and simply buying large volume cheap from Indian companies I really don;t think will deliver on that.

I think submit to directories and place (buy) link on related site is good for link building,if dont have more money for it,try find site that offering it for free or you can do link exchange.

But the important is try your site have a good and original contents,so you are not losing your visitor after they take look your site.

You see, it is possible to get information (content) up about any topic.

The more content you have, and the more useful it is, the easier for you will be to get links.

I advocate a mix Bluehat style. It really depends on what my goals are. I don't take risks with clients sites but my personal stuff well..... A hefty budget always makes the white stuff easier. If theres no money... go for broke IMO.

is BlueHat SEO. Definetly worth a read, and will probably inspire some new project that is going to take up some of your valuable time.

Google has so many rules and such and they keep modifying the algos. If you buy links for example there is a certain chance your site will be peanlized for it-or your site wont. The link may or may not pass PR. It is a gamble.

Untill and unless you try someone you can trust on others opinion. Ultimately it is going to be you who will judge the quality. You should 2-3 service providers and try out them with short campaigns.
