I'm going to register a domain, and I want to make sure a common misspelling of the domain name also shows up in google to point to my domain.
What is the best way to do this? I could also register the misspelling (both are still available), and make it redirect. Or is that not necessary?
Thanks

The word is that you probably need to setup pages with misspelled versions of your domain on the pages of your site. Same as for any other keywords.
Another version that is supposed to work is to create links to your website with misspelled words

The domain name is actually the name of my next game, not a real word. I only need to catch 1 or 2 misspellings. And I don't really want to create links with the misspelled game name...

I'll probably register the misspelling too. Will it get indexed by google if it's a htaccess redirect or a html redirect?

I think the best way to do it is to misspell it in a few places on your real website then, even if you do it in a place where it is not really accessible to "usual visitors" / bottom page or separate page.
