I'm going to start up a new forum soon and I was thinking about using vBSEO. But is it really worth it? Have you tried it?

I don't think I've been to any big forums on the net that uses vBSEO or other similar services.

What do you think?

but what it's look to be
if your forum can get alot of post's then it may worth

I think it's worth it. I had it on an old forum of mine, and I noticed an increase of traffic from google.

VBSEO needs to be a controlled substance. It's like crack cocaine.

Once you buy one license you'll never want to start a forum without it. Then the cost of starting a new forum goes from $160 to $300.

Depends. If you rank well for some keywords you like without vbseo, it can be pretty risky to be changing things around.

Yeah, and going through the pain of getting re-indexed is so bothersome. And, with all of google's weirdnessess, it sometimes isn't worth doing all the 301s and mod rewrites. Of course, you can still optimize your code on your forums and get better rankings that way.
