Is it possible for a domain to have a PageRank of 4, yet be banned from Google?

If you got banned after the pagerank was assigned, then you won't lose that rank until the next PR update.

Seriously, yes it is possible even for much higher pageranks.

Surprisingly it's the other way around. I have a PR0 website which for a long time I thought was banned because none of the pages were getting indexed but now suddenly with this update it jumped to 4...Google still fails to show any results from it however.

Well, I looked for "site:mydomainhere.com" and it had no results. Then I looked for "mydomainhere.com" and it showed some other sites mentioning my site, but my site did not appear either.

I checked the PageRank of my site using a few of those "LivePR" sites. A few months back, all of Google's servers showed me as 0, however when I checked a few days ago, they all showed 4 (with the exception of 2 servers).

Yes, this should be the case.. they will update all the sites' PR at one shot later.

my friend get banned because of duplicate content, his site at PR4 at that time.

But the fact was that the site was banned BEFORE I got my page rank. So maybe it's not banned at all? It's really strange.

When you do site:mysite.com does it show "Supplemental Results" next to a lot of the results?

Sure ... why not?
If they do something wrong (from Google's view)... Google don't need to do business with them!

well i know im not banned, i got a pr last update, about 2 weeks ago or so, but no indexed pages, i've checked many google banned checkers, only iwebtool checker says its banned 1/2 ways lol, the second way says not banned, all the others said not banned, so im not worried

My site got banned 1.2 years ago and 2 months ago it got unbanned

Whheeeee.... But maybe its because I wrote them an email saying that they banned me for no reason 7 months ago... If your site is banned from google , write as soon as possible so that you start to wait for their 7 months long response right away.

Basically theres 2 possibilies

1) I got unbanned exactly 1 year after being banned, making their ban term 1 year and thus not permanent.
2) They unbanned me 7 months after I wrote them an email that they made a mistake and that I didnt do anything wrong in my site.
