Hey all I just wanted to tell a sucess story I have with MSN.

I run a brand new forum gearing towards Microsoft stuff and I started it less then a month ago and WOW I am top ranked for 2 keywords I was targeting and the 2 keywords are Windows XP and Windows Media Player. I am trying now to rank for Internet Explorer. Wish me good luck. Oh and the traffic on them keywords are amazing also.

I am in dreamland now lol.

MSN is God's mean trick on SEOs.... sometimes its relatively easy to rank for competitive words.... but there is just barely any traffic for alot of terms -- EVEN THE POPULAR ONES! Although some industries seem to do better than others..

MSN traffic tends to not last.

Just hold you over till you make it in Google or Yahoo.

Interestingly enough, those domains don't have a private reg (though the slob may be false), like ur dragon and relacore sites...

Only 5.56% and 4.8% of my searches come from MSN, according to google analytics.
One gets ~200 hits per day and the other gets ~1500-3000 hits. 48% come from google.

Based on my experiences, MSN tends to favour keyword domains..

Good Job. Do be careful though if your domains include keywords related to microsoft. I remember reading about MikeRoweSoft.com or some thing close to that. The guys name was Mike Rowe and microsoft was still able to get the domain off of him so if you have something real close bcareful.

MSN has an ability to convert sales... we all know google is the powerhouse but actual conversion %... MSN/Yahoo seems to have users that have wallets.

yeah especially if you have a big list of friends.....At present I love the msn environment...it has saved me countless money and phone bills.

and yes using it for marketing, even for the simple advertising of your website under your profile name can generate some good traffic.

you can use graphical letters for you description WWW...... so it stands out even more when user have the msn window open....it does take a bit of time to set up but worth it if you can use it to market and hey...even make some sales.
