Well I was looking through my stats and I found that I was referred from google by the following search term, david and goliath.

Sure enough when I typed it in, my website, portrayed.org; inspiration is simple, came up as the #2 link.

I found it kind of surprising as my blog is quite new (about 3 months) and I have a I find it interesting that an except from my blog made it to google like that.

Has anyone else found similar quarks?

Not going to comment on the google thing, but **** my eyes hurt from looking at your site. That background does some crazy things to your content when a person moves their eyes to read it. I think it needs to be toned down a little.

your header and background on your political blog does it for me, aswell.

I changed my background to a solid shade, though.

As for the political blog, I advertise it for my client and make sure it runs, he picks out what happens. He made up that logo and picked out the theme for it and after having it for about a month wants to change it. Thanks for the feedback and I will let him know

Now to the Google thing... I dug a little into the stats for Your Political Earth after you posted this and found some interesting keywords that the site was being indexed for and it's a relatively new blog too (same age as yours). None of the terms used have us ranked as high as yours though. It's definitely interesting.
