Hello Guys! I'm quite confuse on what other strategies or tools you use to gain more traffic on your site? Could this be very effective?

You will get what you want but be patient

You can also give social bookmarking/networking a try.
They can also give you hits, though not as huge as the SEs can give.

Here is a check list for promoting and marketing your site.

Free methods:
Submission to SE's and directories
Article marketing
Email campaign
Forums, blogs and board postings
Social Bookmarking
Etc. etc.

Premium ways: (Should require a budget)
Pay-Per-Click (PPC)
Targetted Link backs
Professional SEO services
Ad spaces
Offline campaigns
Etc. etc.

Random and unique traffic is good to any site but getting targetted traffic is what makes the difference. This kind of traffic yields the highest conversion which would determine your site's success.

Given a budget, I would always opt for PPC. PPC is a very effective way of getting targetted traffic given the proper treatment. Identify your niche and select the market you want to cater to and start from there. Research also on the keywords your desired market would most likely be looking for.
IMO, one should be more focused on getting targetted traffic than just page views. Buying targetted link backs are also effective at getting targetted traffic. It really all boils down to what your site offers to your traffic

Another great way of targetting your desired audience is through forum posting on similar niche with your link on your signature. What I like about forum posting is that it is totally free.

I think the hard step for produced a web site is to promote your site and how to get more traffic. I really need to do that too as my traffic is still very low.:2guns:

Find different ways to update the content on the site as that would automatically attract webmasters to link to your site and the visitors will also like the site due to its content which will create an online reputation for the site from word of mouth. Good content>Traffic>Links>PR.

If your real intention is to get more traffic and good rankings then you need to target right key words... and also good anchor texts..

Check your signature which links to your site for me that signature is of no use as 1 out of 200 search with that keyword so my advice is to target correct keywords...

Also, getting traffic to your site is just the first step. Converting that traffic would depend on what you offer to your audience. Good SEO and great content should also be considered also. But again, focus more on getting targetted traffic. This kind of traffic has more chances to convert than just random traffic.

yes there are many ways to get traffic but to take it to the next level for your particular niche you will find there is ways to get more targeted using all the technques above...thats the key.

The more targeted the better....i would rather have 20 highly targeted people come to my site than 1000 untargeted not interested in my site...this is why PPC works so, well, its people actually looking for stuff.

Good tips you listed..I would add in using social media/bookmarking sites to that, because those are pretty big these days..myspace, facebook, squidoo, and then digg & stumbleupon..

First of all make your content as good possible

Do research of your competitors and market and select the best keywords for your content.
Then start with directories, link exchanges, placing signatures with your keywords on high ranked forums/blogs. You can find a lot techniques on various sites on the web, but in my opinion the crucial part of your work is your site's content and your SEO research.
