Hello,

I was wondering what package you would advise for web analytics?

I've used Google Analytics and ClickTracks in the past.

I would like something that can do all the common stuff plus:

* campaign tracking
* ad version tracking
* A/B split testing
* funnel flow percentages

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Google Analytics is the most useful for me. Can it not do the things you listed?

Yes, it can do the things I need, but I am a little nervous about giving Google that much information.

I think it is a conflict of interest of sorts if you are advertising with them and using their analytics.

Not that they are doing this, but then they would know how much advertising money you spend to make a sale. They could in theory know how much they could charge for AdWords, so you would still be making a profit. This information could be used to charge you as much as possible, but not too much that you would stop advertising with them.

Like I said, I am not saying this is happening, but it definitely could happen.

i don't think you can do ad tracking with google analytic. maybe some paid version ad tracking systems would do that. if there is free ad tracking systems i hope anyone here could give the link.

I like Unica's products. Currently using NetTracker. Free analytics packages just aren't powerful enough.

Other than Crazyegg (which is great) I would also look into Hittail.

so long as I never have to touch WebTrends again, I`ll be happy

I`m happy between Awstats and Google Analytics - but also hate Google having my information like that.

If you like AWStats, check out JAWStats which uses the same code but looks nicer and (will soon) give more information.

I find Google Analytics robust enough to handle my needs. It has great optimization campaigns featureful for split testing and funneling and all that.

If I paid for a marginal bonus in stat tracking, I'd question my statwhoring.

Looking at Mint's live demo though, I do like how everything is timestamped and it can show you recent results on a time basis.
