Hi all ,
it's known that alexa ranking is one of the most used ranking in estimating a website activity

i just created

http://www.bluecirclet.com/

3 days ago and i got some good visits for starting blog , about 170 perday
no stumble or any other communities just comments and links back from other blogs
but the problem is about the alexa rank for my site . it's still not ranked there
i've had other blogs and it's now totally inactive and still ranked 7 or 8 mil
i even has that blog on wordpress.com , that ranked 5 mil

things i did .
alexa sparky [ installed ]
widget [ installed ]
website info [ added to alexa directory ]


any suggestions ?

First thing you need to learn is that Alexa ranking is not that important. The ranking is based on the number of people who have the Alexa toolbar installed on their browser and browsing your site. I have it installed and I just browsed your site, so there you go!

Second: your site is brand new (April 10 2008) so it's too early to have an Alexa "issue" or any other issue. Just keep building and optimizing your site. You will get an Alexa ranking.

One thing to remember is that alexa is not an instant updating engine, so you have to wait atleast for a week to start seeing some rankings in it. And alexa is not that accurate too.

yup , i know that alexa isn't every thing , guess i was just comparing my older sites with my new one

i'm gonna lay it down for a month or 2 and then we'll see what happen .
in the mean time i have to stop monitoring it coz it drives me crazy

i'll give it a month if it didn't change i'll just drop it and move on

today so many people told me that alexa is simply USELESS
