Here's my story. it was around Febraury 2008. I just download the VTC SEO Tutorials and watch it im so amazae the good things about SEO and now I apply my learning about SEO in my first domain and now im currently studying a lot about Advanced SEO and in near future i want to earn a lot of money in my websites..

That started the fire

I have a sports article site then I'm curious on how can I see my site in google when I type a keyword related to sports. In my research I found out SEO.

I worked as a sysadmin for a variety of firms until I stumbled upon a job in a search marketing firm. I ended up hating sysadmin work and liking more of the marketing. That pretty much did it for me.

I started a web design company with a friend. After we celebrated launching our site the thought of "now what?" crept into our minds and I started learning SEO as a way to help bring people to the site. The more I've learned the more I've enjoyed it and the more I've expanded my learning into marketing in general.

I've always been interested in marketing though. As a kid I used to watch commercials and think about who the commercial was targeted towards and the demographics of the tv audience for the program. I certainly didn't think of it in those terms back then, but I was thinking about those kinds of questions.

The company I work for finally got a decent website and the company developing it gave us some basic SEO tips. I wanted to know more about developing websites & SEO, hence the best place to look for would be the internet.
BTW the tips the company gave us were the same useless tips/myths you see posted all over the internet.

That's why I am starting to like this forum more and more. There are still people one here (and always will be) who still cry about bad sites linking to theirs or the next PR update etc., but there are also some people on here (not naming any names, but you know who you are!) who are doing their best to make people see through the crap & the fluff and focus on what's really important.

After graduation i got webmaster job...which was really boring then i move to SEO and i found this is amazing...."simple change in Title and body content can bring 100's of traffic absolutely free"

I'm a serial entrepreneur and this is just another in a long list of things I've done that seemed interesting at the time.. Although I'm not a fan of the term SEO, I understand why so many people choose to apply that term to themselves.. I'm more interested in the overall marketing aspects of developing a new business / website, and SEO just isn't big enough to cover it all..

I started SEO when I saw some tutorials online and started to apply it to the site I handle and also to my blog, it helps me a lot in my job right now.

I wondered how people can earn from the internet. Did some search and I read it has to do something with "SEO" and got curious, searched more and was interested to more about the stuff. Then I landed on an SEO job but I'm still learning though.

Interestingly enough, this website got me interested init, with advice from Adam and a few others on here that know their stuff, it got me interested and pushed me into learning more, I had learnt lots of bad habits, and took time to lose them lol !

I started writing content for friend's sites. I was a good writer--and free--so they gave me the job. The only problem was that I had no idea what SEO was. Rather than admit that, though, I learned quickly.

I'm glad I did. It still amazes me that just a few simple changes can have such an affect on traffic.

I got my start in Web development back in 2002. Some time last year I started getting fed up with people wanting their "content first" and other such nonsense "for SEO purposes" so I started finding out where all of this nonsense was coming from. It didn't take me long to find the source (I won't name the forum), and I quickly won a reputation for being a controversial firestarter who wasn't afraid to pull any punches when I cleaned house over there.

I still don't "do" SEO professionally (yet), but I do help people figure out who's telling the truth and who's looking to take the contents of their wallet for themselves (if you know what I mean).

I got to know about SEO through my friend. Then I started to research about it because I became curious on what was it all about. Then after that, i regularly study about SEO because I really find it interesting and enjoyable too.
