For my new keyword ( which is really a phrase, and actually more of a question), I'm getting slaughtered. If you can believe it, all of these sites are beating me - National Geographic

Seems it's hopeless. But isn't it my keyword? Can I sue them for using it?
Maybe I should have done some research and chose a less interesting keyword, which would also be less competitive.
