Hi all,
I've set up a site for my small business (not web based) I had one a few years ago that got really high up on google for my keywords, but I wonder if things have changed since then...
I've hosted it with the free host awardspace.com (see here)
I then remembered I can host it with my ISP ntlworld.com ( here)
Which would be better for SEO? Is awardspace likely to be bad because it's a large free host possible with many short lived / spam sites?
If I got a domain name and forwarded it to my ntlworld page would that help. I'm doing this on the cheap, it's not competeitive keywords really, so don't want to pay for domain and hosting, wondered if a forwarded domain would help? (I know masked forwarding is bad due to frames..)
What do you reckon? Any other suggestions? (I've put links on all the related sites I can find that let me do it for free, guess it will take a few weeks for the trawlers to pick it up)
Thanks.
