Hi, thought I'd share this because it was annoying me so much when I had it.

I started getting annoying red backgrounds on all of the links on my browser and, to cut a long story short, it was because of a Firefox extension called SEO For Firefox (not too imaginative I know, but it does the job! )

If you have it you need to:

Right-Click >> SEO For Firefox >> Options

and then disable highlighting.

This is just a quick post, if you want to see the full thing click on the webmaster blog link on my sig

Hope that helps!

I was using SEO for firefox and didn't notice that option. On my computer, it was disabled. At least now I know I have the option of activating it.

Good to know :-)

The red backgrounds are showing nofollow links I believe. What I do is turn off SEO for Firefox when I'm not in research mode and then turn it on when I am.

And since you mentioned it, it's a great plugin that anyone interested in SEO should install. One of the plugins I use the most.

Yeah, I always have mine turned off as well when I don't need it otherwise half of your screen is highlighted , especially after a Google search.

I agree, great plugin

Yeah and sometimes I don't want all the numbers on the Google and Yahoo searches, but when you do want them it's a great tool.

Yeah, Firebug is nice. I use SEO for Firefox, Firebug and Rank Checker.

Those are my three favorites.
