I already have that list... To be honest, i find it less helpful. Maybe it is because of my website niche.

^^ depends on your site's content and theme. If your site is about SEO then it is best to participate in SEO related forums, though mostly, whatever theme you have is good in webmasters forums. but you should also join forums that are related to your site. for example, I also join car forums for my sites.

The best thing is that there are theme forums...

Just glad I could be helpful. We have broken the large list into easier to use smaller lists.

For a while I had included forums in the list along with the blogs and everything was good. Then I made a separate list for forums.

That when things got interesting. I had a small group of people attack me on their blogs and forums... It was crazy... Even though I made it clear to leave useful comments and not to spam... I was accused of being a spammer and much worse.

It was amazing. I tried to reason with these people to no avail. The personal and business attacks were really something. These people got really angry because I deleted their comments on my blog which either didn't make much sense, were what I considered rude, or were personal attacks...

This is another good reason to moderate your blogs.

All we intended was to provide a useful resource and collect some links...

Having said that, it was a very interesting experience...

The take away lesson from all of this was... Just delete unwanted comments in moderation and move on....

Haaa. As I said in the the "what word do you hate the most" thread, the "there/their/they are" mistakes are really annoying. You can't be taken seriously when writing an article with those mistakes.

So you delete some comments just because they don't make sense to you? Did you ask them for clarification? Or did you just outright ignore and delete their comments?

From my understanding, the problem they had with the article was because it did not offer one piece of advice on how to contribute to those forums, as that's what a forum's purpose is. And the owners and regular members of those places do not appreciate people signing up JUST to drop links.

I know I don't appreciate newbies who sign up with my forum to do the same thing. But I do let them if it contributes value to my community.

Yeah, those those mistakes can be quite annoying .

Seriously though, the first quote doesn't have any "there/their/they're" mistakes. So one sentence isn't *that* bad IMO.

Plus I've know Connie (the author) for a little while now, he doesn't seem to make those types of mistakes very often (from what articles and posts I've read), and he was upset with the OP's blog post at the time of the writing. I don't know how else to explain the grammatical errors, not that they're that big of a deal though.

I understand that writing when being upset is hard. I don't make much sense when I do so. I didn't take the time to read any other post so I don't know if he makes mistakes often. I just wanted to point those out so that he can edit the article if he wants to. As you know him, you can let him know

Actually, I read the sentence "there not approving comments that are critical of their so called..." as in "Over there, they don't approve...." as in the OP's website.

I guess it could go either way though.
