Hi, even as I write this I feel I'm asking a bit of an amateur question, but please just humour me whilst I'm having a bit of a brain-fart

When submitting a site to Google using the webmaster tools, is it necessary (or at all useful) to submit more than just the homepage URL?

It's not even necessary to submit the homepage to Google..

But, if you want to make sure that Google at least "knows" about all of your pages make a sitemap.xml page and tell wmt where it is.. This will not get them indexed, but at least Google will crawl them..

Or you could build the site with proper navigation and not worry about it at all..
