Hi

I have just been looking aroung the net and found this article on SEO.

I am only just getting into this and thought it was a cracking article. I would be interested to think what you guys think of it.

It seems a common sense article to me and has mentioned a few things I had never thought of - also gives some useful links at the end of it (like the Highranking forum etc)

I would be interested to know what the experienced members think of it anyway

this article is three years old. They still suggest to use overture as a keyword tool

I suggest you to find more recent articles

I know its an old article and they still suggest using overture (although they did say it had been rebranded to Yahoo Search Marketing)

But I still thought it was a good article and a lot (most) of what they said, I would think should still be current.

If I can find another article as complete as this for a newbie I will read it

SEOmoz is currently working on a new version of the guide. I thought the new one was finished, but maybe not. It's still a good read even if a few years old. Some of the details may have changed, but the basics of what's in the guide should still be the same.

Rand has been posting new articles within the guide as blog posts as he writes them too. The SEOmoz blog is also an excellent one to read in general. Definitely worth subscribing to and checking daily.

There are other complete guides, but many will probably cost you some money. I don't know if there's one quite as complete on the overview of SEO, but there are plenty of free guides available that may cover certain aspects. The Beginner's Guide is good for what it aims to be, a guide for beginners.

This guide maybee old but SEOmoz is one off the best websites about search engine optimisation!
