im getting about 200 visitors/ day - if i start changing my keywords, will this affect my traffic flow?

John, its impossible to say anything without knowing your site and keywords. Somehow I just feels changing the work won't help much

Yes, it may affect your traffic flow depending on what keywords you will use to target. I think it's 50/50 because it may increase or decrease your site's traffic.

Here you have to think about the traffic generating keywords.
If your keywords are generating traffic from the search engines then the keyword position may drop if you not do the work.

And there is no problem in changing your keywords but don't change the meta tags and titles of your site. It drops you from the top to bottom.

but try analyze first before changing something! you can change easily but the output will be surely different from what you expected!

if you will change it to the most appropriate keyword to your content and that certain keyword has a high searches i really think it will do good on your site and will get you more traffic if you reach the first page for that certain keyword and increase your output.

If you have Google Analytics for your site, you can use the same tool to see the keywords that are generating traffic for your site. If you want to change keywords, then you should choose the ones that will surely bring traffic and those that are searched for by users.

As long as the keywords are still on-topic, it shouldn't be a problem. I haven't had to do this myself, but for one of the sites I was SEOing I did shorten keyphrases to bigger search volume single keywords when the site was ranking well. The changeover went fine - we still ranked for the previous phrases and we started moving up the rankings for the shorter keywords.

Give it a bash and write how it goes here for us, would love to hear how it goes for you.

yes there is a possibility that your traffic flow will change because most of the internet users are don't really know the website about what they are looking for so they have to type in the keywords on the search bar. But if you really need to change your title just make it sure that keyword is more change to visit or competitive than your current one.

If you have that traffic in a day, you certainly can make more pages on your site rather than changing it. A single keyword change can make you traffic plunge instead of grabbing more.

In short, don't change anything just add something.
