if done right, yes it would be helpful to websites and specially if it has some nice contents. there has been some issues with duplicate contents so I guess you should read about that as well.

Article writing is good way of generating traffic. Write articles and submit them to newsletters which are then archived online, Submit articles to article directories or Publish articles on your site and invite other sites to publish them on their sites, with a link to you.

If you want to write article to bring more traffic to your site, then I would advise you to go for Qassia. For every piece of article you write in Qassia, you will get a backlink to your website.

You've heard WELL my friend.

And you'll hear once again.

Articles can bring traffic, popularity, PR, and renown to your websites. DO THEM.
How fast can you write an article? 15 min? That's ok, 15 min to get 40 - 50 visits a month from it + a boost in rankings + backlinks + viral effect + etc...

Articles are good, Social Bookmarking sites are good, even Myspace profiles are good.

Just don't get backlinks from sites that are not trusted by google.

Yes make sure that your article submission is done right. Research on how you will submit your article perfectly.

What?? The links coming IN to your site will never hurt you. It is only the links going OUT that you have control over.

I have been participating in the site for months now and has quite gain some nice Q credits. have sent lots of articles but not really gaining that much backlink, recently I am not getting any... its not that useful as posting articles on your blog and submitting them to ezine articles.

bla bla bla like all the tripe above, but the main thing is to do it correctly. what ever you do dont pay $40 for 200 article subissions and think... great, time to sit back and chill. cos that will have pretty much zero effect. to avoid duplicate content penalty you need to be smart.

When you submit a article you are allowed to add a author link in the bottom, so what you want to do is find 1 article site that allows you to have links in the article body like mine, then get your article published, now you can take the url from the original article you submited and put that in your author box and submit that to 200 articles.

What this does is makes the original submission look like an authority, since all the other sites copied it and refered to the original article, this give the site that does link to you much power.

Instead of getting 200 links that look spammy you get 1 link from a powerfull document. Easy internet marketing
