at the risk of getting a best down from a mod  im going to have to disagree with both statements here
Social bookmarking is not spam, its name by definition means to share your bookmarks. Social bookmarks still carry some weight, because they get reviewed by humans (voting systems) and therefore have a lesser chance of being classed as irrelevent.
Only a handful of major SB sites use the no follow tag, do a google search for "list of dofollow social bookmark sites"
as a mod i would be less flippent with the information i posted because people will take your word for truth the majority of the time.
