It probably doesn't matter whether you use hat or cap based SEO, just steer clear of that capslock SEO... people really hate that stuff. Also, if you're going to use hat based SEO, try to avoid old hat SEO- it's been used to death already.

I've moved away from clothing-based SEO altogether. I was a big fan of the taco based SEO for a while, and I think our orange hat SEO guru up there has probably tried his fair share of taco-based SEO as well.

That being said, in order to really rock the SERPs, you've got to stay one step ahead of the competition. Hat and food based SEO was all the rage last week, but Google is always switching up the algorithm. You need SEO with legs!

I have indisputable evidence that adding a picture of a black spider to your site will make it rank high in the SERPs. I call it black spider SEO, or B.S. SEO for short.

The B.S. SEO theory is that adding a picture of a black spider to your site will make your site rank high in the SERPs. Not many people know this, but the google bots take bribes. I've heard of people calling the google bots spiders, so I figured that a picture of a spider would please the bots.

Why a spider? Because the spiders see the picture of a spider and they think they are seeing themselves, and we all know how much google loves itself.

As evidence, I have made a blog post and a whole blog that rank in the #1 and #2 spots for the phrase "supercalifragilisticexpialadocious viagara money orders soonest" You can google it if you want.. go ahead, I'll wait for you.

Back? Good.

Now, you'll notice that the site dedicated to black spider (B.S.) SEO has some additional instructions. They're pretty important, so be sure to do what it says, else you could end up in "the sandbox". Then you'll have to find a nice picture of a sand castle and a plastic rake to get out, which can take a long time.

I'm not sure this will work. In fact, I'm not sure that Google will be impressed with another spider on your page. I think the Google spider might actually be jealous if another spider is there. Spiders are known to be loners, and sometimes will even eat other spiders. A whole SEO system that might be devoured by the Google spider at any time is not a solid plan.

If you must use a spider system, don't put all your spiders into one web!

Google always will switch up the algorithm. Thats why the SEO market still exists, it wouldn't be here today if it was static, thats for sure. Thats unfortunately where a lot of newbies trip over, thinking that they just need to tweak a few things.

I personally think that Google sells the algorithm code each month behind closed doors for millions. Little conspiracy, but you never know

The article points out all kinds of other nefarious goings on. I'm not writing this here to encourage people to go off on some black hat spamming spree, but because I think it can make for good discussion. And, also, because it frankly scares the **** out of me that I used to rely on the information I'd find on Wikipedia.
