quick question, what meta TAG do you current use on your website?

The question come out because I'm working to improve on my website ranking, and I want to make sure I have all the necessary and complete information on the pages, but there are lots of meta TAG, and some people say that you only need the KEYWORDS and DESCRIPTION meta TAGs.

Thanks

actually, the keyword tag is pretty much useless as it is ignored by most search engines.
I also would use your description tag to boost your rankings but to improve your organic "CTR".

There are better ways to improve your rankings than just changing your keyword and description tag.

As julien said, the keywords metatag is pretty much extinct now, none of the big search engines use them. They just take keywords from your sites content, which is why people are always on about keyword density.

The only tags i would concentrate on are the title and description. If keywords mean that much to you, make sure your chosen keywords are quite prominent in your content.

Good luck

I use the meta title, description and keywords. Even if SEs ignores most of it, there are still no harm on putting one.

And if those people weren't on LSD, they'd stop optimizing their pages by keyword density for the, an, of, or, and and.

Most important is Title and Description Tags.

on my blog network i dont have any keyword tags, they get good traffic considering i only use them for clients promotion they return a sweet ammount in adsense, the difference in my blog network from all the splogs is that every page i have indexed is unique and there are about 6,000 pages spread over 20 blogs, all unique.
no meta tags yet good rankings for long tails so......

i personally think that no keywordslooks more natural and thus recieving more credit. ie google will assume that this person has made the blog for the sole purpose of free information and not concerned about how it ranks - these blogs also tend to be the most informative

my 2 cents

I always use the Title , Description and Keywords tags...they are on the first things that search engines read...then, the body content has to be around the same subject as on these metatags
