I don't think the real question (
not just in this situation - but always) is whether something could be seen as black hat (
although "yer screwin wid me!" is never received well) or not. The question you need to answer is "Does this help people using this page?" Google isn't a search company, they're an ad company. They get to serve up most of their ads to people who use their search engine. They want to return good results for searches, so that people will continue to use their search engine, so that they'll continue to make money selling ads. If you produce useful (
to humans) pages purely by means of black magic, they'll stay in the index.
