I have a problem regarding my posts. It wont stick in Google's #1 position. For example, I posted this topic, it gets indexed for a minute,then climb to #1 (or 1st page at least), then after 2-3 days, it will be down to 4th page. How can I make my posts irreplaceable in the Big G's top 10? Help!!!

by providing irreplaceable content that will interest a lot of people.

Yeah, I mean do consider that you also have competitors. Those competitors could make some content that could be more interesting than yours or do some SEO techniques as well.

its really hard to stick to no 1 in SERP, unless the content of your post is really informative and relevant and has a limited competitors!

Murder all of your competitors. Choose less competitive key phrases. Come up with a coherent strategy that isn't based on unfounded internet rumors. Stop chasing links and checking rank.

well, thought that should be our aim in making our contents and improving our products and services, we still have to do some stuffs to make sure that they would locate it right.

I guess fresh and unique contents are the answers, users liked to visit a website with new/unique content to be read and it is also one way to keep them from coming back.

Posts on the forums are dynamic generated content on the forums. And you wont be able have that in the SERP fr a long time. And why should you?

lol, well, you said focus on the readers and visitors, I tried to say that even that should be our goals, we still have to do a trick or two to help those visitors locate our sites easily.

If lots of people link to the thread.. or it creates a large amount of interest, then you will definately have a better chance at keeping the #1 spot!

It is suggested that newly posted contact gets a brief boost in SERP rankings to give new content a chance at becoming popular... Build some links, do some social bookmarking.. if its good content you will do well with it!

I think people put too much enthasis on position 1 anyway, surely if your in the top 5 thats very good, if you managed to get to number 1, then just keep doing what you were doing to get urself there in the fist place lol !

Unless you offer something that causes a stir and makes many people want to link to that post, then Google will move on to the next content once they are bored of you.

Actually, in order to get more quality links or links in general, you'll probably need to write something that interests ppl enough so that they would naturally link to it. Otherwise, you'll be constantly spending your whole day working on your SEO, especially if your competitors are too!

Are signature links like in this forum count?I created a "Watch Pacquiao...." signature link because I am optimising for that key phrase.
