Is it worth the time it takes to submit my website to the hundreds of small search engines out there or should I continue to focus my energy on Google, Yahoo and MSN?

You do not need to submit to search engines at all. They will come and find your site.

I don't buy the idea of submitting your site to bunch of SEs. It will be much better if you let SEs find your site naturally..

I think there are many strategies in SEO and it depends on the person what strategies he/she will apply to his/her site.

Hey,

why do you want to waste your time to submit your site in small search engines. when you have submit your site in Google, Yahoo and MSN then not to worry about others these three are the most Visited search engines your site get good visitors if you use some more techniques to improve you rank in these search engines then you don't need to submit in other small search engines. so don't waste your time in submitting your site in small search engines.

If you want to increase your sales and traffic early then submit your site to the top search engines like google and yahoo. i think small SE are not that important.
And if you want SE to find you then it might take along time as there are alot of sites created in a single day.It might take days, weeks and months before SEs willl find you

Don't bother with submitting your site period. You want to get indexed through effective link building and other SEO methods.

Smaller search engines are less likely to find you naturally, want your content, or, even if you're indexed, send any traffic your way. How could it possibly make sense to submit manually to 1,000 search engines that each have 10 users??

Just focus on big Search Engines... You can only get small number of visitor from Small Search engines. Be on the Flow of competitions.

Only focus on other search engines once you have your #1 ranking in all the major search engines. Dont waste your time submitting to search engines they will find you even if you have to submit your site to search engines no one will every be able to find it. Because it has no backlinks. Build back links and you will get indexed by the major search engines. The major searhc engines also share lots of data with smaller search engines.

I would submit to all search engines. Usually when you are on Google, Yahoo, or MSN, the smaller search engines will pick your website up in their search results. All search engines are able to drive traffic to your website, so it doesn't hurt to submit your website to all search engines, but focus on Google, Yahoo, and MSN as they have the most traffic and I would focus on those 3 search engines heavily. exactly who cares if you are picked up right away you will be on page 10000000 and it wont matter build links and they will pick you up when you are good enough.

i strongly suggest you focus on the big three rather than to spend your time submitting to thousands of search engines

I don't think it is worthy to submit your site on SE's....it is better to focus on proper link building and gathering quality backlinks for your site!

I agree with others... it's much better not to submit your site to any search engine... submitting to Google, Yahoo and others is a mistake that most of the people do...
