i have 2 websites im really consentrating on

http://www.keithjevans.com
they are fairly new websites but want to give the best chance possible with search engines. could someone give me relevant tips to make these sites better with search engines, im fairly new to seo and dont understand the whole criteria plus i feel once you learn a few things there are more and more to learn so whats the best thing to learn.
