I'm making a website, and for my navigation setup... I plan on using a drop down menu.

Here is the script I plan on using.

Code:
http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/switchmenu.htm
^

Now, question. Can web crawlers pick up these links on the navigation? Or no?

It will help you to understand what google does. Google downloads your url - to see what google's parser sees, go to "view source" - google will see your source. If there are urls inside your source that you want google to see then guess what: today is smiling day for you - google will see it. The scripts you mentioned, I don't know em (great carlito line that one) but it's pretty obvious they WILL show the urls in the source and thus google will find its way to your links. You an also use a sitemap for added fun. If you like, you can even hang a pine airfreshner on your website and that will mean that spammers won't like the smell and go away. Okay that last bit was a bunch of rubbish, but the rest is true.

People just don't understand crawlers do they? How do you think a crawler gets your page? The same way anyone else does - it opens the source and digests it.

spammers can be drawn in by the smell of baking bread or roasting chicken, whereas detergent smells drive them away. if in doubt, don't eat garlic. and keep the house clean. pretend an important date is coming round.
