Our site had top rank in google for various keywords. From this month it went down...

Kindly explain me what could be the issues, and what is the remedy ?

Thanks in advance.

Hundreds of things. It's one of the things you have to get used to when all you care about is the useless metric of rankings, and chasing links and PR is your main driving force.

what is the remedy
All depends on what was the cause. But the best course of action is to do nothing at all until you have ascertained the cause.

NOBODY can tell you what happened and what to do. Only someone who knew the history of the site could tell you that.

We never concentrated on PR. Ofcourse the PR we got a week before, before it was 0.

We had a good traffic though. You can view the traffic here

It's impossible to know without more information.

What keywords and phrases?
What optimization had you done on your site?
Are you building links into the site? If so where are you getting them from?

I can't promise anyone here will be able to help figure out the problem, but I can guarantee we need more info before we can even try.

googman heat pump, heat pumps, geothermal heat pump are the main keywords.

We did directory submissions, paid links from directories categories, three way links.

Given that Google frowns up paid links and three way link schemes that's probably the answer. If I had to guess I'd say some or all of those links were previously helping your pages to rank, but recently Google discovered the three way links and discounted them or discovered a site you were buying links from was selling links and so discounted the links.

By paid links do you mean someone advertised they would sell you a link and you bought one or do you mean you paid to be listed in a directory that editorially reviews content before adding it?

I saw your site ranking for some of the phrases your stats showed so I doubt there's any kind of problem. Most likely some links that were previously helping are not longer helping.

Why do you need 2 sites selling exactly the same items? That's a waste of resources and effort for a kick off.

How long has the canonical redirect been in place? I'm taking a guess at late September/ early October and prior to that, the www version was your preferred link building target.

Just a cursory look over suggests that it is a self inflicted injury by pointing the canonical correction redirect the wrong way.

We did only directory submissions and nothing else before rank drop. After the rank drop, I was asked to buy some quality links from directories from related categories. So we did start link buying recently a two weeks before. Links are like featured links.

I apologize for that, I didn't mentioned in the previous post.

http://ingramswaterandair.com is our new website and www.alloysafe.com is our old website. We used to sell both the website as we are getting sales from both the website.

Few months back I remember On Sep., our Host did a *_*_* thing that he misplaced same IP for two website as dedicated IP. Those days our Pr went down from 2->0 Also our rankings.
Then our programmer found the issue and solved, after that he made the site changes with http://ingra.. (ie) without www. from that onwards the we are getting links to without www.

Okay there you are then, issue solved.
Another 2 maybe 3 months and it will start to recover. See if you can get the links you have to the www version changed over.

whatever you do, DO NOT change the redirect now, you will do (possibly irreparable) damage to the indexing of the pages.

Have you set your preferred www vs non-www in google webmaster tools?? That will go a long way toward making the link issue a non issue..

No one but Google can tell you WHEN you will get back to your original position, anyone that gives you a number is just guessing..

As I pointed out in the previous post DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT under any circumstances try to switch back to the www version.
The migration to the non-www version is happening, it takes anything up to 6 months for the redirects to fully take effect.
Try to revert to the www version now and you will put the migration back by 3 or 4 months.

You CEO needs to understand that NOTHING in the SE world is instant. Everything takes time.

Sounds like you sorted this all out, but just wanted to mention I agree with Chris. Most everything should eventually come back after the redirect, though expect there to be some loss. It just going to take some time for Google to catch up with the changes.

And yes as much as the CEO wants it to happen now do what you can to get him to understand some things take time. If you try to react in panic you only hurt yourself further.
