I have heard a lot of that. Many experts name that "Death of the SEO"
What are your thoughts? Can anyone pour more information here?

Statements such as it being 'the death of seo' are just absurd. Regardless of what ranking factors Google adds to its algorithm people will always find a way to exploit that to get better rankings. It's just that personalization & geotargeting will change the way the seo industry operates.

It won't change the way real SEOs work. Only the ones who think that rankings are the be all and end all.

It's going to mess with their SERP research. But, I personally think it is a good thing.

Normal Searcher are not using this kind of feature. They only want a desire website and when they will get it they will forget other thing.

So this kind of Feature could not affect SEO field.

I think it may change the way SEO game is played, but not the end at all. I don't think there will ever be an end. Untill google hires thousands of people to manually rank sites based on their relevance and usefulness there will still be SEO.

They still have bots that will search pages and rank them automagically and we will still be able to manipulate these to a point. The local search thing is completely irrelevant IMO (this is the thing that if I search "springfield PA car wash" it will list car washes in springfield PA). If that is what you mean by local search then it won't since it only lists businesses for the area and then continues with the actuall search listings below.

The personalized thing is an issue, but really unless the person has searched for your keywords many times before and made distinct patterns I doubt that their system would affect rankings by much anyway.

The thing about SEO, or those that try to live up to it, is that they do they jobs and they keep themselves updated. Updated to things that are related such as tools, new techniques, new sites, techniques that doesn't work well anymore, news on SEO, and stuff like that...
