My partner said that he bought the name (fictitious) coolname.com and he then coded it to my site (fictitious) mysite.com/blog and it would not cause me problems.
Is this true?
I can now type in "coolname.com" and go to mysite.com/blog and the metadata is displayed as well.

He said he used:
Frame redirect

Is this cloaking?

I have been getting great placement and don't want to loose that.

Exactly the same ones. Because it IS a regular framed site.

All frame forwarding does is create a frameset with 0 pixel high top frame and put the target site in the bottom frame.

so it would be a framed site -- if that name he added is used as the url but if my regular url is used its not a framed site---right?

co'z when you type it in the address bar as del.icoi.us it will became delicious.

But what you are asking about there is redirection.
Cloaking is showing search engine user agents or IPs different content to any other user agent or IP.

Yep.
Set the "coolname" up to point directly to the "blog" subfolder.

Is this redirection? As far as I know, unnecessary redirection is considered as blackhat.
