I have a domain registered with Yahoo Small Business which I`m thinking of transferring to a cheaper registry.
But a significant part of my traffic comes through Yahoo.
So I`m wondering if transferring it might damage search rankings?

Similarly, would hosting a site with Yahoo hosting boost search rankings IN YAHOO search results?

Highly unlikely, but unprovable until you move your registration and find out.

If either were the case I would suspect there would be somebody preparing a class action lawsuit against Yahoo! at this very minute.

I'm curious too with this case... and you will find out when you moved. I suggest to try not to change things about your site, just hosting and see/observe if you will be affected on Yahoo.

I don't think so... but I think it will help you to be indexed in Yahoo in no time. Like when using blogger as your blog-publishing system... it will help you to be indexed in Google in an ease because blogger is hosted by Google. I think... hehe
