Improve the Alexa Ranking

I want to ask some old questions as below:

1. How can I improve my website traffic, and how can I improve my alexa ranking availably?

2. What's the different between "Search Engine Index Listing" and "Website Traffic"? (Search Engine Index Listing like the Google search "site:www.domain.com")

Every idea will be appreciated and helpful. Thanks.

This is not a very good thing to get your focus on. Alexa rank is not really accurate. Don't waste your time relying on that toolbar!

Sometimes, Googling it first can give you better results...

Website Traffic is DIFFERENT FROM Search Engine Index. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_traffic

First Step of improve your websites Alexa Ranking is to download toolbar:
http://download.alexa.com and then start browsing your website regularly, you can see your websites Alexa Rank on Alexa Toolbar.

well, although I agree that Alexa's reports doesn't really matter that much to most people, even myself, here is a nice link to increase it if you are still interested in doing so.

if you want to get good alexa ranking, you need to have lots of traffics. alexa list or rank those site that have good traffics.

You have to need backlinks to get huge amount of traffic at your website.Hope it will be helpful to improve the Alexa Ranking.

Alexa ranking depends on traffic and back links of a site.

When a visitor visits your site by any means then it called traffic.

When you include a page on your web site and after cache of search engines it has been listed that called search engines listing.

Alexa "rank" relies on ONE thing and one thing only.

visits by people (or bots) with the Alexa spyware toolbar installed.

you got nothing to do with elexa ranking, if you want your site in ranking then you just do directory submission, article submission, forum commenting and some blog commenting on good pr dofollow blogs.....you will automatically get aiexa ranking.....

If you want to get good alexa ranking than you have to generate more and more traffic to your site. But i personally suggest do not more focus on alexa ranking. It takes to long time to get a good alexa ranking position.

Another way that works very well is to have a mailing list for your site and then hook up your feedburner to you list. this way every X posts you do an email goes out to your list keeping them informed about what's bee going on at your website as well as lists the headlined and first paragraph of each post.

This not only increase blog readership considerably but also alexa ranking due to all the regular traffic.

Alexa Ranking is not important now a days... What's important is that you see your website to the first page with your major keywords.

Just install Alexa toolbar and visit the site for which you want to increase alexa. Clear the cookies after each visit........you can increase your rankings significantly.

alexa only gives results when the user has the alexa toolbar... you should rely on link building and article marketing and that would probably increase ur visitors !!!~
