Would making multiple "keyworded" subdomains benefit my site in rankings?

So, I'm kind of new to SEO but have decided that I need to figure this stuff out in order to make my site successful.

So I had an idea and I don't know if this has been done before or what, or if it even makes sense.

What if I were to create a whole bunch of keyworded subdomains for my website that resolve to a page that is a search result page of that specific keyword? In case that didn't make any sense,.. I want to create maybe a handful of subdomains that are a targeted keyword. Lets say I was shooting for "Fuji Apples" as a google keyword. I would create the domain fuji-apples.mysite.com. Then on that page it would be a search result page of a search of "fuji apples" on my own website. It sort of works from the same basic idea of a tags could which just links to a search of that term.

Is this something that google will ignore, or even punish me for? Or is it possible that I had a good idea?

I think this will be of not much use, there are loads of things involve to rank higher in search engines for specific keywords.

Hmm... Never had try it before... Because I don't see any potential benefits in doing it.

Well my thinking is that since having actual keywords in your domain is weighted heavier than simple content keywords, that this could have an advantage in that respect. For example designer-jeans.com is going to automatically be weighted higher than some website called mikesstore.com that has "designer jeans" somewhere on the page.. That's why you see so many domains that say things like buy-prescription-pills-online.com and stuff like that. So by having a bunch of specific keyworded subdomains, would that not also work much the same way? So a website could go designer-jeans.mikesstore.com.

But in my case I'm taking it a step further and having it resolve to a page that is a search result of that exact term, so when the search engine crawls it, it'll see it like relevant content.

I'm far from an SEO expert, and I'm more looking for opinions from other people than to try and educate anyone else, because I'm not even sure about what I'm talking about.
