I have a blog that I just started about 2 weeks ago, so I know I probably shouldn't expect too much as far as traffic goes at this point. But what concerns me is that none of my traffic is coming from search engines. Is it that I just need to give it some time to get in the search listings, or am I possibly doing something wrong?

Well, what positions do you have in the search engines?

Do you have any page 1 positions on Google, as you won't get any traffic from them if your only on page 8 for example, as everyone has found what they wanted before they enter the second page of Google.

Well, the problem is I don't have any position in google unless I search the actual title of my blog. Then I'm right at the top. But if I search any of my keywords I get nothing, even through 20+ pages. The only time I can get any listing on a keyword is if another site links to my post, in which case their site gets the listing and you have to click through to their site to get any reference at all to my blog.

Ok, I figured that might be the case. I feel better knowing that it's not just me, and that it takes time.

How many visitors do you get per day? It takes time before a site gets a good ranking in Google. Have you done some social bookmarking for your blog? That's a good source of traffic.

You need to start getting good inbound links to your site. Post comments on other blogs which rank for your chosen topic. This is a good start. Sign up to blog promotion services like technorati and get the name out there!

I think you have to wait for two more weeks.post the current activity or incidents of world.by doing this you will also get much traffic.
