Which will get me higher up the search engines / generate most traffic?

If I right a quality article am I better:

A) posting it to my site adding it to 30 social bookmarking sites and hoping that Google will like the original content?

B) submitting it to 30 article sites for the backlinks loosing the original content angle?

I am confused?????

I would not just settle for 1 article.

You need write many articles and submit them to article websites, and also post original content to your website with links from social bookmarking sites pointing to you.

Thanks for the response. I do get that I cant just do one article. But for benchmarking purposes I am just trying to work out which has the better effect?

You may also try doing this. You will write for a unique article and post it first on your blog. Then you start bookmarking it in several bookmarking sites. You may also submit it to article directories but be sure that it's indexed first by google so that the article on your blog will be considered as the original one by google.

You Can submit your content in Propeller and hubpages to generate more traffic.one thing note that hubpages will remove your content if it will find that you have not submitted your unique content.so you must have to create your own content.

If your competition is tough. You can use long tail keywords first then step by step you can change it for more competitive term.

I think this is great... then after this passed it on some article submission site! with backlinks from your blog and of course the site.
