I believe the page rank of a site must be taken into consideration in SEO. My problem is that I don't know how to increase my site's PR. How is that possible?

Content is King. Great content gets linked to, and you increase your PR by getting good quality links.

But you need to tell people the content is there. So, send a press release about your content to relevant blogs and get the message out there.

There are lots of ways to make link-worthy content. A few might be:

Make a funny viral video
Be controversial, write something the goes against the grain.
Make a cool little App or utility
Top ten lists are good, like top ten SEO tips etc
Put a valuable resource on your site, perhaps reviews of great products or somthing

These are just a few ideas. But make it relevent to your site and make it good.

PR is a joke! It has little/nothing to do with rankings. Anyway, most top ranking sites tend to have high PR, but it doesn't work the other way around. So, if you increase your site's PR that doesn't mean your site will rank higher.

Just keep getting links to your site from as high a pr site as possible as well as letting your domain get older will help your pr!

That's a very interesting link that james dropped. I suggest you read it. IMO, increasing your PR is just a small part of link building. It goes along on how well you build your links. Try doing some serious link building for your site.

You can increase your pagerank by adding quality contents to your site and building quality links to it. But don't get too concerned about PR, ranking is more important.

PR is the score of your site, you need a high PR to compare with other website have the same content.

But it does not effect your ranking to much.

The more you post to relevant sites, the more chances of getting high traffic and PR.

PR is easy,but not directly related to the website rank, it's use is that it will bring the high update frequency in google.Planning your website's link popular,exchang or buy the links from other website.The more ,the best for your website's PR.

The way to increase your PageRank is simply by creating more backlinks to your site. Now, while you can have tons and tons of backlinks it doens't mean you will have a good PR.

When creating back links you need to make sure they are on related and high ranking sites. The better sites that you place your links on the better your PR will increases.

Dear friend Page Rank is depends on many factors like inbound links, outbound links and many more. If you want to increase your PR. You have to do link building, forums posting, directory submission, articles...you will get your pr on high..

To increase your page rank you need lots and quality backlink from social bookmaking, social networking, directories etc. and most to other related websites.

simple thing is increasing site Pr do some two way link exchange with Quality pr site. do some dofollow bolg posting link. you will get definitely result.
