If the blog is relevant it can provide some good direct traffic. It may also help search engine rankings on search engines that do not consider the nofollow tag. I think as spammers now target dofollow links, the search engines may still consider nofollow links as they may become the more trusted link.
Go to this page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nofollow to read about the NoFollow attribute.
Comments from NoFollow blogs, do not improve your website position in search engine results.and will not hurt your website position in search engine results.
here is a simple explanation what is no follow: if you would like to prevent Googlebot from crawling any links on a page, use the "nofollow".. the crawler only but not the visitors.. so it still helps..
Hi All. Thanks for your contribution. It was really Helpful.
Back in few days i read a article on blog in which author tells that he did some no follow blog commenting using keyword in anchor text and it helped him in improving keyword ranking in Google. What you guys think about this ?

Reducing the number of outgoing links from your webpage help you to save the rank of your webpage.
The logic is simple :
1. From each inbound link you gain a part of PR
2. Through each outbound link you passes a portion of PR
3. As the number of Inbound links high the chance of getting PR is high
4. As the number of Outbound links increases the chances of passing PR is high
5. Putting nofollow to unwanted links may help you save PR
Note: Please note that excessive usage of nofollow tags may reduce the user activities on your website.
as long as it is related to your site there is still a benefit for your site even if its nofollow, because sometime the moderator of the blog is removing the restriction, in some search engine nofollow attribute is not recognize unlike google and the most important some of the readers of the blog may become your visitor.
Hi there SEOgp, I do not post on 'nofollow' blogs because I don't get PR juice from them. But if it's for my personal blogs, I comment as much as I like
Nofollow blog will never count in back link so we can't get benefits for our website page rank and back link. We can get traffic from there if we are posting comment with same theme.
I can say that, link is still a link and it may still give you some traffic if not for PR. It wouldn't really matter if that is a nofollow or dofollow site. I remember having an inbound links that came from a nofollow site. So I think nofollow can still be counted as IBLs in some way possible.
Hello! I am new here. I want to know that is there any advantage of posting comments on No Follow Tag Blogs ?
Why do people with SEO in their signature links and in their name ask such stupid questions? Do you think someone will be inspired to click on one of those links and ask for your services? You're obviously asking crap questions to get the backlinks, which doesn't reflect well on your links
What does "No Follow" have to do with anything unless you are spamming?
If your comment is relevant to the blog post and informative, then of course it will have benefit to the readers of the post.
Well said Paul. I see far too much blog & forum commenting solely there for the purpose of SEO. If you're not contributing anything and just worrying about whether you're getting a valid backlink, please do everyone a favour and stop!!

Blog still can rank well in search results and if it comes out on searches, your link can still be read by surfers and can click on that link to your site.
Search engines can't go to that link but the real people can, so that is the benefit of that nofollow link.
In addition, if you have lots of these no follow links, you can rank well in Yahoo because they care about the quantity of the links.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the whole "no follow"tag was a Google invention? There are other search engines as well besides Google, so I don't really care. If I like the article, I will comment.
