Hi Everyone,

Just thought I'd share this with you. I wrote and released a press release a couple of weeks ago through PRWeb and noticed it wasn't appearing in the SERPs inspite of me paying for the so-called SEO Package.

On Friday last week I decided I'd bookmark the release on a variety of social bookmarking sites. I joined Mixx and bookmarked the page with them. It's now already on page 1, just a couple of days later!

Give Mixx a shot, I'm totally blown away with that result!

And what did the SEO package you were referring to include? Was it some kind of service provided at the press release site itself?

Yes it was provided by PRWeb.com and it gave us some extra backlinks from the press release to our site (which were pointless seeing as I doubt Google would count 5 backlinks coming from the same page...)

The SEO package included this:

Embedded news image
SEO tools including anchor text for search optimised results
10 industry and 5 regional news feeds
Advanced SEO statistics
Next day distribution

But it's still not showing up in Google. Yet Mixx got it to page one in the space of a weekend. Waste of money using PRWeb for SEO purposes, I think.

I was on PRWeb the other day - I thought it was free...then when I read on their site you had to fork out a few hundred bucks - I went somewhere else and posted my site on a free PR site.

Anyway, thx for the info. I will look into Mixx.

I never heard of mixx until this post. I'm checking out the site right now, planning on signing up to start bookmarking some of my pages. Thanks for sharing.
