Its a great achievement for me to ranks my VBlog in Google; plus, I didn't notice that I already gain PR! Well, I'm just proud of it!

well done Francis.

I managed pretty much the same recently, gaining a PR2 within about a month and a half with some forum posting, blog commenting and a few spun articles.

Keep up the good work Francis. You should document what it takes to go from 2 to 3 and then 3 to 4. Would be interesting to see the progress.

IN just 2 months PR 2? It is appreciable if you can exactly document to what can be done to get PR 2 in only 2 months.

Well for me, to get a PR2 on one of my sites in just 2 months I did the following:

Blog commenting (field relevent blogs, regular comments & discussions. Aim for a position in the "top commentor" box if the blog has one)
Forum Posting (several forums, slightly different signature text in each)
Social Networking Profiles (put your link on your profile, make lots of friends and get some PR flowing to your profile, and then hopefully your link)
Published press releases (include link)
Published articles (include link)

I didn't bother with any directories, I just don't see the value...

Above all are most effective link building way if we include manual directory submission with above means any one can get good PR for his site.

Keep in mind one thing that only link building is not important ...... Link building by good way is important.

YOu make me want to cry.. i had a pr3 for years and let the backlinks drop off month after month and now I am a pr3.
I have recently gotten back into heavy backlinking and wondered if it would be worth purchasing 1 or 2 pr4 or even 1 pr5 to give me a short quick boost.
anyone have any thoughts about that?

Congratuations on getting PR 2 within such a short period of time. It took me a long time to achieve PR 2 a long time back.

Very well done! I had PR1 last year and it went down to PR0 a couple of months ago when Google did a big PR update.

It was easy to find out why: less blog posts, link building focusing on exchange links and diretories with no real follow up.

Nothing comes on a plate, it does take hard work!

Thanks, guys. Well, I simply link to related site, all are do follow! I didn't only gain PR 2, I also rank page 1 on my 3 competitive KWs, while my other two KWs rank at page 2. Traffic? Its receiving fair traffic.

Congratulations! for getting PR for your blog within 2 month of time I suggest you to do timely update in blog otherwise it will removed by Gooogle in next update.

Videos can really rank well in search engines even if the titles and the keywords used are competitive.

I got PR3 site without doing any link building at first I surprised but I noticed it was my best built website I have. From the unique good contents up to the structure and the keywords all best built.
