Hello everybody just want to start off by saying I am new to all of this I know I have a lot to learn.

I have a traffic seller site I am trying to promote.
I was searching for links and found a link directory site that uses the source code of your site to create a fully functional and populated webdirectory. Fully managed, custom designed to your site.
My question is would this help or hurt my site?

although I've seen some of it on other site.. i don't think its a good idea..

When creating directories in your site, most of the beneficial of links are the one's who submit their site on your directories.

Not a great idea, it's just a waste of time. Have a separate domain for you directory and start working on it rather than integrating it within your website.

You may get people coming to your site looking for a directory. It can't hurt

Not really going to help UNLESS its verry niche specific. I see the mountain bike site in the first post. Maybe a MTB directory but not something unrelated.

it would be a very bad idea to have a link directory especailly since your trying to sell traffic!

That is definitely not a good idea at all. It might benefit some of your visitors, but as for you I don't see you getting any from it.
