RSS feeds can a source of good traffic and possibly a quality backlink.

Good traffic: submit your site's rss to rss submission sites where webmasters, blog and site owners look for feeds to add on their sites as an added attraction or content. This way, when their visitors get to see your update through rss feeds, they'll click it and that's traffic for your site.

Quality backlinks: Some rss submissions sites allow dofollow links which can build up overtime and can provide your pages link juices.

It really has a lot of advantages especially when the traffic is concern in my point of view. Your site would have an increase on popularity through this provided of course that your site has something good to offer.
