Hello everyone. I hate to do this, but I am at my wits end.

My websites just are not performing. I am following ALL recommended paths of action, I have backlinks, I have relative content, article marketing, all of it.

Do any of you see anything wrong with my sites?

Some time things can happen like this. All you have to do is wait and analyze how your competitors are doing and follow the same.

go to the Google Keyword Tool and makes sure you're targeting the right words.

Also, do people actually buy that stuff online?

You need to expand on "performing".

Is it an issue getting people to visit your site?
Is it converting them to customers on site?

These are different problems with different answers.

Yes, you have to wait for your stats and ranks to go up. This won't rank overnight in tight keywords. You should start with keyword research in relation with your site and products. Writing article using these keywords can give you traffic.

You can use squidoo, hubpages, scribd, mylot, etc. Also article directories like goarticles, amazines and ezinearticles can also rank well in Google for a long time.

Yes, people do buy this stuff online. I do use the keyword tools available, troubling fact is most of them are only dual, very few tri-word phrases.

I get about 170 people on average a day to my site. Traffic is one issue that I am not getting. Conversion is also the other issue, we get nearly 200 orders abandoned every month.

As for articles, I do have them posted at ezinearticles.com. Is it taboo to have the same article published on different sites?

So just the "paths of action" recommended by the usual "know nothing experts" then.

When you see an error on what you are doing, start all over again... Search engine optimization really requires TRIAL and ERROR.

The basic problem generally is identifying the error. Some may be lethal, BTW.

Dont' worry.

Your website is bound to take time, since it is a dynamic website.

Add blog in your website so that your website has sufficient content.

Also, post your website products in ebay, amazon and alibaba, there is strong chance of your products getting sold there.

Well, at least you have learned that "article marketing" and begging backlinks is completely useless.

all you need to do is follow some experts advice, don't do short cuts which lead to black hats tactics, don't involve on that. If you are not sure on what you are doing, hire some expert to do the job for you.

Black hats techniques would only cause you more trouble. Its better when you know at least some basics on it but if you really couldn't get it right, then I agree with dve, hire someone to that work for you. Just make sure you hire the right person. Plus there are lots of people who charges very low with this kind of work.

SEO is a consistent process and you will not get the result immediately but gradually. Analyze your site through Google Analytics. Get the most targeted keywords relevant to your website and make it anchor text. You need to work hard on marketing like video submission, social networking, social bookmarking, press release and increase quality backlinks.
