If you're posting affiliate links on your site you should also offer interesting content so that visitors will get interested on your site.

This is a question that no one can answer for you. You will need to do some research on your visitors to find out which will work best.

On sites with smaller traffic CPA usually works better while CPM and CPC will perform better on larger sites.

My advice is you try each type of ad to see which performs better on your site.

Affiliate program websites requires the same level of promotion as is required by any other website or blog. So go for article marketing, blog commenting, guest posting, forum posting, social bookmarking, blog carnivals and all other promotional techniques present.

Before you join any affiliate program go to related sites and check out the affiliate program. Seek information about it from those with more experience.

Be aware of the minimum quotas that you must fulfill or sales target that is too hard to achieve. Some affiliate programs imposes pre-requisites before you get your commissions.

Just be sure that you are capable of attaining their requirements.

There are two ways you could do. But before that clear my doubts. Are you having any pre-sales websites that you are trying to optimize or the affiliate website where you do not have access to ftp.

I suppose it is your pre-sales website that you have access so that you can embed your affiliate link.

For this generate unique content, have to do seo from link building perspective. Had I answered your question?

if your affiliates are big brands then optimize your websites on brand terms. write some content according to brands etc

As other have said, this would be just like optimizing any website. You'll want to do research on what keywords to use, make sure the pages on your site have the relevant title/h1/meta tags that reflect this term. And then build many backlinks to your site for your main keywords. That pretty much covers seo in a (very small) nutshell.
