Hi
I wouldn't be changing things unless you know what you're doing. How do you know you're not making it worse? Many people think keyword density is a reliable SEO technique, for example. However, it is sooo easy to go overboard and make it look like you're spamming. If my page was ranking highly, I'd probably leave the page alone. It's always best to create new content than tweak old ones, unless you know for a fact there is something wrong with the old page.
I'm lucky because I can be confident of my page SEO. I use Site Build It, which has a feature called Analyze It. It checks density and other SEO points on each page. If my page passes with flying colors, I leave it alone. If not, I do a tweak to fix it. It's amazing how accurate it is because most of my pages rank very, very highly. That's how I get so much free search engine traffic, by the way.
But I digress.
You should not have to be changing pages unless you know for a fact something is wrong and without a tool to tell you, I think you're just shooting in the dark. You're much better off creating more pages and writing more content.
That of course, is my opinion.
