There is only ONE thing that will adequately show how the promotion and optimisation has been successful (or not). And that is the accounts for the website revenue or sale leads.
If it isn't earning money (or showing an improvement) then all the "ranking reports" or "traffic analysis reports" aren't worth the paper they are printed on.
