I have a site.... the site is about scraps, images, greetings for social networking website like orkut, myspace, etc. its www.goodlightscraps.com The site is 4 month old.. I want a good search engine position in a keyword. Can anyone tell me What i have to do? I have already post lots in social bookmarking sites. But not too much progress. Some suggestions plz..

Build backlinks first. When you have enough backlinks, build some more. Finally, when you got a truckload of new backlinks, start building backlinks again.

Oh, it will be almost useless for good rankings if you don't optimize site source code itself...

Too much of anchor text with the same keyword will do more bad than good. Effective usage of the same is advised. Plan your keywords. Make a list of Primary Keywords and Secondary Keywords. Categorize as high traffic keywords, medium and low traffic keywords and then choose accordingly.

One thing is that you have to have is patience. Build good, solid backlinks in the meantime - Rome wasn't built in a day.

First of all, you need to choose a right keyword to target and then you have to do link building for them with your niche.
