i'm thinking about diving a little deeper into seo and have been lightly researching the subject for a bit now and was wondering if anybody has some good jumping in advice?

also, a little later today i'm thinking about downloading and trying these tools from seobook.com and was wondering if anybody has any experience with these tools and what their opinions might be.

i have a couple websites that are pretty close to completion and want to make sure that they are preped well for the search engines and being up to speed with seo is one of the things i've heard to take into consideration.

also,
does anybody have any advice on any other good keyword research tools?

I like google's keyword tool. It's within their adwords creation section. Pretty helpful!

As for reliability, I always find google products to be the best in the market, plus its for free. =)

Actually Google keyword tools are for Adwords and we are using it to find Good keywords..lol

I like the tools from SEO Book. In the end there are lots of tools that tell you mostly the same information. What's more important is how you apply the information they give.

As for learning you found SEO Book which is a great site to learn from. Since you found that I'll trust you can find many other seo blogs. Follow the links from one to another or simply search for seo blogs. The major players are easy to find.

It can take some time to sort out all the information and misinformation out there. Just try to go into it with the right mindset. You're not looking for some kind of formula that you can apply, but rather are trying to understand how search engines work and what factors affect things like ranking and click throughs on search results. Your goal is to bring as much targeted traffic to your site as you can whether or not that's through a search engine or another site. And once people have landed on your site you're optimizing your site and pages to get them to take some kind of action, typically purchase something from you or contact you about services.

I have not experiece about these tools but other keyword tool also available on the web that are free but for paid wordtracker is good

I use google keyword tool and the others from seobook. Seobook provides very good seo tools

Google adwords keyword tool is totoally free of cost nothing to purchase or download for using this and it is really one of the best tool with multiple features that help you to select right kewywords for your site.

another I forget to tell you, adwords keywords toll is really so good and most imporatant you dont need to pay any $$ for this as it is totally free of cost.

I think Google Adword is more reliable than SEObook for keyword research!
