Make sure your site is updated regularly with good unique content. Build up your backlinks steadily and ensure they are quality content related links.Do Off-page Optimization like forum signature, blogs commenting, social bookmarking, Social Networking, Press Release and article marketing you can get more quality backlinks to your site and increase PR.

How about exposing yourself to social media sites?
Twitter is a good one. Establish your self as an authority of your niche there and get many good followers. It will surely bring in good traffic to your site with a higher conversion rate too.

I have been on seo forum for long, not only this one but others webmaster forum, the get the same answer:forum signature, blogs commenting, social bookmarking, Social Networking, Press Release and article marketin, but what i want to say is that, the important thing is not just know this, it is how you do that, good luck, take part in the practise!

Join some social networking sites like eZdia , facebook etc which helps you to get some good traffic to your site. Advantage with eZdia is that eZdia is also a social bookmarking site so you get the benefit of both

There is a big difference between SEO and traffic generation
Perfect SEO is hard TO find,
Massive traffic generation is not really taugh to get

"perfect" SEO is only "difficult to find" when you are looking for "SEO Secrets" or exact answers so you can do "SEO by Numbers".

When you realise that there are no exact answers and no "secrets" the process becomes much simpler.

there are a lot of good suggestions here and there are a lot more that can bring traffic to your site. not all techniques may work in all sites but to get proven results, you have to test it out yourself... it doesn't mean that if one says that this specific technique is ok that it will be instantly ok for your site as well...
